Holistic Health department

Holistic Health departmentHolistic Dispensary provides preventive, curative and home based care. It improves the overall health of Kibera community with other departments in Christ the King Church; eg: Education, Human Rights, Faith Formation and Administration.

The department offers services to all regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, social or financial status, and encourages volunteerism.

The department also provides education on preventive health. It holds seminars and talks in schools, churches, various centers and small christian communities. Provides knowledge on communicable diseases; eg: TB, top ten killer diseases of under 5 years ensuring that the patient and relatives are diagnosed and treated adequately.

The Department also helps create awareness on HIV/AIDS, cancer and environmental diseases.

It empowers the community to control the spread of those diseases through education and treatment of patients. It also helps reduce the rate of abortion in Kibera Community.
